Figured Mango Turning Blank

(Mangifera indica) The wavy texture of Mango gives this wood a special kind of appeal. Varying in color from dark tones to light brown, much of this Mango also includes random blank lines resulting from bacteria introduced by bugs. The very dense grain is durable and strong but not particularly hard on tools. It can be sanded and finished to a beautiful luster and accepts waxing and staining. Like most woods, Mango darkens with age.
